Advantages of Tiki Trailers

Bolted frame or welded frame?

When you look at our product range, you will notice that the products are divided into two series.
These are trailers with bolts and rivets and trailers with welded frames.

Bolt and rivet trailer details are cut out of metal plates and bent.
They are connected to each other using rivets and bolts.

Trailers with welded frames are, as the name suggests, made of steel tube frames that are highly resistant to various conditions.
The frame gives the trailer flexibility, withstands vibrations, and is highly resistant to environmental influences.
For everyday use, we strongly recommend a trailer with a welded frame.

Fully welded frame

One of the most important factors in assessing the durability of the trailer is the trailer’s frame.
The design of the frame begins with the engineer’s 3D CAD drawing.
The chassis and side panel elements of Tiki trailers are welded together from laser-cut tubes, and then hot-dip galvanized as a whole.
This process ensures maximum elasticity and corrosion resistance.
This steel tube frame structure prevents the frame from bending under load, and all the other components of the trailer are mounted on the frame later.

Side panels

One of the great advantages of Tiki trailers is the steel tube that supports the upper edge of the side panel.
This is very necessary and important for better loading of the trailer, to support weights on the panel and to attach the load strap on the outside of the panel on the trailer.

Side profiles made of steel

The sides of the Tiki trailer are made of high-quality metal plates from the largest metal producers in Scandinavia. The sides have two stiffness profiles that ensure the side is inflexible, resistant to vibrations and unintended impacts caused by the load. These profiles have given our trailers a great appearance for more than 30 years.

Hatches on a steel frame

The hatches on Tiki trailers can be opened and are very easy to remove.
The frame of the hatches is made of steel tubes, which allows the customer to use the hatches as a ramp for a smaller motorized vehicle (ATV).

Drawbar

The drawbar is made of a square steel tube with a wall thickness of at least 3 mm.
The material ensures guaranteed strength and safe use of the trailer.

Leaf spring suspension

In the domestic market, trailers with leaf spring suspension are mainly used.
The trailer’s axle beams are hot-dip galvanized.
We use waterproof wheel bearings and hubs from the world’s leading manufacturers such as Knott and BPW.
The axles are equipped with shock absorbers that dampen the effect of holes and unevenness on driving characteristics.

Water-resistant plywood bottom

All Tiki trailers are equipped with a weather-resistant laminated plywood bottom.
The plywood has a non-slip surface coating, and the edges of the plywood are pre-treated to prevent moisture.

Protected electrical system

The electrical system in Tiki trailers uses pre-assembled and tested cables.
To protect the electrical system from external damage, the cables are hidden inside the trailer frame.
At the same time, it is easy to replace the cable if needed.
The best visibility in traffic is ensured with lights from the Austrian top manufacturer Aspöck.

Secure load fastening

Tiki trailers are equipped with internal and external eyes and hooks for securing loads.
Internal eyes are placed on the inside of the cargo box and support themselves on the posts of the port side frame to withstand greater tensile strength.
Tiki cargo trailers do not have internal eyes mounted on the bottom of the trailer, as this makes loading and transporting sheet materials difficult.
The functionality for securing the load is improved by strong hooks on the outer sides of the trailer frame, which are welded to the frame.

Additional equipment

We offer the largest selection of desired accessories for Tiki trailers.
The most popular products are plastic covers, tents, panel extenders, spare wheels, and motorcycle holders.
To see the possibility of additional equipment for each trailer, please open the detailed view of the trailer.
